Microsoft Windows Defender Browser Protection released for Chrome

Microsoft today has launched the Windows Defender antivirus scanner for Chrome. It is a Chrome extension that includes a list of malicious URLs that will be blocked in Chrome. If the malicious link matches one on the list, Windows Defender Browser Protection will show a red warning screen letting you know that the web page you are about to visit is known to be harmful, giving you a clear path back to safety with one click.

Google Chrome said to get full-scale Material Design 2 revamp in September

Back in February, it is reported that Google is working on a mysterious Material Design 2 which was spotted in Google’s open source repository for Chrome and Chrome OS. However, Google quickly made the Commit private as soon as the news broke. Google Chrome for Android has received an update that makes it easier to download pages offline for viewing it later. The offline feature was first introduced to Chrome last year in December. According to Google, over 45 million web pages are being downloaded with Chrome each week.
