Nokia Lumia 1520 Photo Gallery

There is new meaning to the popular “see more” marketing tagline from Nokia, as it aptly applies to the newly launched Nokia Lumia 1520 and its huge 6 inches of screen real estate. As you can see from the image above, you can literally “see more” of our webpage on that massive screen. It helps that it is full HD resolution too, and finally has that much needed upgrade to the faster Snapdragon 800 SoC. This phone aims to be the jack of all trades and aims to offer everything in a huge screen, which is currently the awkward trend in Smartphones. So, how does it look in real? Intex Aqua HD Unboxing

Intex is fairly a newcomer in the Indian Smartphone market and it started launching Android devices much after Micromax or Karbonn, but now they have caught up with the lot by releasing MediaTek based devices under the Aqua range. We saw the cheapest Android 4.2.2 phone from the same company, and it even launched its flagship 1080p device – the Aqua i7. But today we have another 720p entry from Intex in the form of the Aqua HD. It sports a 4.7 inch HD screen and a 13 megapixel camera with an interesting design and build quality. Apple iPhone 5s Leather Case Unboxing and Demo

We have had the Apple iPhone 5s with us for a while now. You might have seen us mention in the 5s Dock Unboxing that we had picked up a couple of accessories for the device from the Hong Kong Apple Store and the Yellow leather case is one of them. LG G2, the company’s flagship phone that we recently reviewed, is very much a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S4. In that sense, LG have followed the tradition of releasing competing features and accessories similar to the S4, and that includes the Quick Window case for the G2. You might have seen us going hands on with this accessory at IFA and even comparing it with the Samsung S View Cover, but we have finally got it in our hands, the retail package, so here is a quick demo of the case on our G2 –

Apple iPhone 5s Gold edition Hands On and Photo Gallery

The Apple iPhone 5s and 5c have been the fastest selling iPhones combined for Apple, with them seeing more than 9 million getting sold over just 3 days, but one thing that has been evading everyone’s hands and eyes has been the gold edition of the iPhone 5S. It has been sold out in nearly ever market the 5S has launched. Fortunately though, we have got our hands on the elusive Gold edition in the Hong Kong Apple Store. LG G2 to launch in India on 30th September

LG just sent invites for the launch of the new G2 here in India. We’ve previously taken a look at the handset at IFA and found the hardware to be seriously impressive. We’re already working on the review and here is our unboxing of the LG G2. Under the hood is the latest Snapdragon 800 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s also very interesting hardware design going around here with all the physical buttons placed at the rear of the phone below the camera module.

The screen is a 5.2 inch Full HD panel and has an edge to edge screen with almost zero bezel on the sides. The camera is a 13MP unit with optical image stabilization built in. The phone has 16GB of storage paired with a micro SD card slot. You also get WiFi ac support because of the Snapdragon 800 processor being used. The operating system is Android 4.2.2 with LG’s custom interface layer on top of it. We’re not huge fans of this OS layer and have taken a look at it previously on the LG G Pro as well. We’ll have more on the LG G2 closer to launch, in the meanwhile you should check out our hands on video with the phone.

During IFA 2013 in Berlin, Vestel had a large booth dedicated to showing off the latest from the manufacturer – the booth included everything from 4K Ultra High Def televisions and augmented reality TVs to Android powered smartphones and tablets.

Gionee Elife E5 Unboxing and First Impressions

The trend in today’s Indian market is cheap Android Smartphones. Many companies like Micromax and Karbonn have successfully built huge businesses over this specific concept, however there are always compromises to be made. Most devices that land in the Indian market are re branded low cost Smartphones from across the border in China. Shenzen is a hub of countless number of companies that are mainly contract manufacturers and often end up offering really low cost, and thereby low quality phones. But some of them really stand out, like Meizu, Xiaomi, Oppo and the new entrant in our list of impressive Chinese companies – Gionee. The Elife E5 has inspired us to think beyond and acknowledge the fact that excellent phone makers exist, irrespective of the market they are from.

We unboxed the Elife E5, one of the company’s recent releases in the Elife range, and found it really nice. Here is a video of us talking about the box contents and the device itself, go past the break for our complete impressions.

With the next iPhone(s) scheduled to launch in just a few hours, we took the liberty of comparing the Apple iPhone 5 with the just launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because for all you know, the 5S might just be a slight upgrade over the 5. HTC One Mini Hands-On

HTC announced the mini version of their flagship, HTC One, back in July as the HTC One Mini and the phone was on display at IFA 2013 in Berlin. The HTC One Mini looks quite similar to the original HTC One, but comes in a smaller package and a less powerful package.

Acer Liquid S1 Hands-on

Acer launched their new flagship Acer Liquid S2 just ahead of the IFA and they had announced the Liquid S1 back in Computex which was a couple of months back. The Liquid S1 is quite a big device with a 5.7inch HD display. It comes with Dual-SIM capabilities and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek – MT6589. It has an 8 MP camera at the back along with LED flash and it is capable of recording 1080p videos.

Nokia Lumia 1020 Camera Grip Unboxing

The Nokia Lumia 1020 was shown off as the best camera on a smartphone at the announcement in New York. Our initial impressions of the device echoed the same thoughts but what makes it an even greater camera is the accessory that released along with the device. Yes, the Nokia Lumia 1020 launched along with a unique camera grip accessory that enhances the usage of the Lumia 1020 as a camera. Nokia Pro Cam on the Lumia 925 – a Walkthrough

Much has been said about the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its amazing camera prowess, but what made it fun was using the camera interface. Yes, the interface, also known as the Nokia Pro Cam, provided the much needed control and versatility for the robust camera hardware that Nokia packed in the Lumia 1020. But the other PureView devices are no exception either and Nokia made sure that 920, 925 and 928 users get the Pro Cam, and eventually they did. We immediately installed it onto the Nokia Lumia 925 and found it to work really well, just like how we found it on the Lumia 1020 earlier.
