The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) claims that the proposed mandate by TRAI to display callers’ names, known as Calling Name Presentation (CNAP), will pose a threat to privacy. Mobile internet users in India to reach 371 million by June 2016: Report
The number of mobile Internet users in India is expected to grow 21% to reach 371 million by June 2016 from 306 million in December 2015, according to a latest report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and market research firm IMRB International.

Indian mobile internet users to hit 236 million by 2016: Report
India will have 236 million mobile internet users by 2016 and this base will hit 314 million by 2017, according to a latest report from IAMAI & KPMG. The latest report titled “India On The Go – Mobile Internet Vision Report 2017” states that India will have over 500 million internet users by 2017.

Facebook India rolls out ”I’m a Voter” button
With an aim to encourage Indian users to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2014, Facebook has added a “I’m a Voter” button. Indian users will see a reminder message about voting on the polling day depending on once locations at the the top of their New Feed. The “I’m a Voter” button will be present next to the reminder message and both these features will be available on Facebook mobile apps on polling day.
