Apple grabs number 6 spot in India’s top 30 cities: IDC
International Data Corporation (IDC) is out with its monthly city level smartphone tracker which reveals that 30 leading cities of India make up approximately for 51% of the entire smartphone market in Q4 CY 2015. Delhi and Mumbai were the top two cities that generated maximum demand for the phone. Apple has outsmarted Xiaomi and grabbed number spot in the Indian smartphone market, said the report.

Indian smartphone market grows 21.4% YoY in Q3 2015, driven by budget 4G smartphones
International Data Corporation (IDC) has announced that 28.3 million smartphones were shipped to India in the third quarter of 2015 that ended September 30th. This is up 21.4% from 23.3 million units for the same period last year, said the report. It also said that one out of 3 smartphones shipped in India in Q3 2015 were 4G-enabled. Samsung is still the top smartphone vendor in the country by shipments with 24% market share, up 1% compared to the last quarter. Global tablet shipments decline 12.6% in Q3 2015: Report
Just yesterday, IDC revealed its numbers for the worldwide smartphone shipment and today, the research firm is out with report for the global tablet shipments. A total of 48.7 million units were shipped in the Q3 2015, reporting a 12.6% decline owing to the challenges faced by the tablet market.
