Apple to roll out software update to fix 1970 date bug which is bricking the iPhone

Earlier this month Apple acknowledged the Error 53 bug that led to bricking of iPhones. Now, the company has officially acknowledged the existence of a recently-exposed date settings bug and has posted a new support document for the same on its website.

700 million iOS devices expected to be sold by the end of October

Like any other Apple event, the event started off with numbers from the past discussing the sales and success that the previous generation iPhones have had. This time, Tim Cook had an interesting fact and said that, by the end of October, nearly 700 million iOS devices would have been sold. At June, during the WWDC, Apple had announced that it has sold close to 600 million iOS devices till then. iOS devices include – iPhones, iPod Touches, iPads and iPad Mini.
