Today, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on his weekly radio show that there has been an overall increase in the city due to theft of Apple products, according to The New York Times. There were 3,484 more major crimes in 2012 than a year prior, but Apple product thefts alone were 3,890 greater than in 2011.
Bloomberg said that thieves in New York prefer Apple products and notes that mobile devices from Apple’s competition, such as Samsung, were not included in the numbers. Bloomberg’s press secretary, Marc La Vorgna, also said New York’s overall crime figure saw an increase due to Apple products: “If you just took away the jump in Apple, we’d be down for the year,” he said.
The mayor suggested that citizens should keep their Apple products in a pocking, making the device harder to steal.

Responding to user demand, the application serves not just for browsing files but also makes for a media viewer for cloud based files. If you’ve been following the Apple vs Samsung case you’ll know that while the German and US courts had ruled in Apple’s favor awarding them over 1 billion dollars in damages, the UK courts passed judgement that Samsung had not copied Apple. Along with the iPad Mini , Apple has also introduced the new 4th Generation iPad (iPad 4). Apple had launched the previous iPad (iPad 3rd) just 7 months ago in March , and in a surprising move Apple has updated the iPad already. In terms of hardware the new iPad looks almost identical to the iPad 3 but packs the all new Apple A6X chip which is two times faster than the previous A5X chip. The 30-pin connector has been replaced with the new Lightning connector. Apple is also stating improved WiFi performance and additional support for more LTE networks in the latest iPad. At an event in USA today , Apple unveiled a lot of new products and one of the most interesting products announced was the iPad mini which packs a smaller 7.9 inch display. It is almost half as heavy as the iPad 3 and is 20% thinner.Yet Apple claims 10 hours of battery life on this tiny little tablet. As you can see in the picture above , the iPad mini is being held in one hand. It is as thin as a pencil and as heavy as a pad of paper according to Apple. The iPad mini follows the same design language as the iPhone 5 with a glass and metal design. In terms of specs the iPad mini packs dual-core A5 processor, 7.9 inch display with 1024x768px resolution , front and rear cameras.
