Confirmed: Vodafone to bring iPhone in India

I posted about iPhone being launched in India in the month of September 2008. There were lots of speculations about who will be the service provider for this feat. Most of the people including me felt that it would be AirTel and not Vodafone. But now this one comes from the horse’s mouth, according to this press release from Vodafone, “Vodafone has signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the globe. Vodafone Confirms Iphone Prices for India

Iphone has finally released their pricing details via their exclusive indian carrier Vodafone. The 8GB model would cost around Rs.15960 and the 16GB model would cost around Rs.19960, both available only on exclusive 2 year contract with Vodafone. No exact details about the launch dates are available as of now.
