Last week Reuters reported that the iWatch will boast a 2.5 inch screen. Today, another report is suggesting that the iWatch will come in two different models. Pocketnow is stating that the iWatch will come in ‘Sports’ and ‘Designer’ style with former being rectangular with a rubber strap and later being round and stainless steel.

It is an open secret that Apple is working on a wearable device. The iWatch as it has been termed by industry pundits is expected to tie in heavily with Cupertino’s Healthkit push. Now, via a report published by Reuters, we have access to a few more details about the upcoming smartwatch.
The report suggests that Apple has adopted a seemingly large 2.5 inch screen with a ‘slightly rectangular face‘. What that means remains open for interpretation but we suspect that it refers to rounded corners. Owing to the size of the display, the fascia is expected to protrude from the band instead of sitting flush with it. The interface will of course be touch based as expected. Bloomberg reports that Apple is aiming to trademark the name iWatch. The company filed for a patent at the Japanese Patent Office on 3rd June. It has long been rumored that the Cupertino based company is all set to enter the wearables market with a smart watch. It is believed that the company has about 100 designers working on its latest product. Tavis McCourt, an analyst at Raymond James & Associates Inc. has upgraded Apple’s shares to a buy with a $600 target price. To compete with Apple’s upcoming device, Samsung is known to be working on its own smart watch. Sony too has announced its second generation SmartWatch that runs Android. The wearable could work in tandem with Apple’s iPhone and iPad to offer notifications and voice based navigation through Siri.
