YouTube will now offer more local language content in India

YouTube is adding a new feature for its users in India. The video service will now show more local language content on Home and Trending. YouTube will automatically identify your preferred regional languages based on your watch history. It will support Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Google Translate adds 13 new languages, now supports a total of 103 languages

Google has added support for 13 new languages viz Amharic, Corsican, Frisian, Kyrgyz, Hawaiian, Kurdish (Kurmanji), Luxembourgish, Samoan, Scots Gaelic, Shona, Sindhi, Pashto and Xhosa. Launched 10 years ago, Google Translate says that it now covers 99% of the online population.

Skype Translator expands to more regions and languages

Communication is meant to bring people closer and that is what Skype does however one of the major barriers that people face in communication is language. Skype Translator was rolled out as a preview app in December 2014 and since then hundreds of thousands of people have been able to circumvent that barrier.

Google rolls out Handwriting Input Keyboard app with support for 82 languages

Google has launched Handwriting Input Keyboard app that supports 82 languages and 20 distinct scripts. As the name suggests, the app lets you handwrite text on your Android phone or tablet without the use of a stylus.
