LG LTE smartphone sales cross 10 million units globally

LG Electronics has announced that they have sold more than 10 million LTE smartphones globally. LG announced the Optimus LTE, their first LTE smartphone in Korea back in October 2011, and shipped over 600,000 units in Korea alone in just 100 days after the launch. The global shipments of Optimus LTE crossed the 1 million mark last January. Hands-on with LG Optimus L5 In India

 

LG Mobile is being quite aggressive this year when it comes to launching attractive Android smartphones running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. LG Mobile has announced three international models running on ICS apart from a few Gingerbread running devices at MWC 2012. LG Optimus UI 3.0 for Android ICS devices announced

LG has unveiled its new Optimus UI 3.0 for its upcoming Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) devices. It would bring new and enhanced key features, including Quick Memo that enables users to jot notes on the screen using a finger that also lets users share it with social networks or via text messages and e-mails. LG Optimus 4X HD with 1.5GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 4.7-inch HD display and Android 4.0 announced

LG has announced the Optimus 4X HD, successor of the LG Optimus 2x, the  that was launched last year. It has 4.7-inch True HD IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash support, 1.3MP secondary camera and is 8.9mm thick . LG Optimus 3D Cube with 4.3-inch wide angle IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and NFC announced

LG has announced Optimus 3D Cube, successor of their flagship 3D smartphone, LG Optimus 3D that was launched last year. This new 3D smartphone comes with 4.3 inches wide viewing angle (IPS) LCD display. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 version Gingerbread. It has Dual 5MP auto focus cameras with LED flash and secondary VGA camera. It comes with unique features such as My Suit that lets you edit icons with custom image, 3D editing tool and has NFC that also comes wit hLG Tag Plus (Tag +). It is just 9.6mm thick and weighs 148g that is said to be one of the world’s thinnest and lightest 3D phone till date. LG Optimus LTE Tag announced with 4.3-inch IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and NFC

LG has announced the LG Optimus LTE Tag, new Android phone with NFC Support. This comes with 4.3-inch IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and 1.3MP  front facing camera. The LG NFC tag+ provided with the phone changes the phone into car mode automatically when it’s near that tag. This enables you to turn on the navigation system in the phone and could be programmed to turn on Bluetooth, GPS and raise the volume. It also comes with LTE support. LG Optimus 3D Successor Leaked?

Last week, LG officially announced their new Android powered tablet which is known as the LG Optimus Pad LTE, featuring a 8.9 Inch True HD IPS display and many other goodies. LG confirms Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Optimus 2X, Optimus Black and Optimus 3D


The LG Optimus 2X, Optimus Black, Optimus 3D and the Optimus LTE would be the first LG devices that would get the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update confirms LG on their Facebook page. LG has just started rolling out Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update for their Optimus 3D that brings lots of new camera features and for the Optimus 2x. They already confirmed the Gingerbread update for these devices last month for Europe on their Facebook page. LG Optimus Hub announced, coming in October

LG has announced another phone in the Optimus series, LG Optimus Hub, followed by Optimus Pro and Optimus Net. This phone is previously leaked in the LG road map this July. The LG Optimus Hub is said to be the successor of LG Optimus One, and it has 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen that is much brighter (550 nit).
