Verizon has pushed a new update to LG V30 which brings A.I cam and ThinQ branding. The update brings the software version VS99620b along with features. After updating, the start screen of the device will now show LG V30ThinQ branding instead of LG V30. This is to reflect the new artificial intelligence integration. The V30+ comes with 128GB storage compared to 64GB on the V30.  It has a 6-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and runs Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with LG UX 6.0+, which is upgradable to Android 8.0 (Oreo).

LG just announced its flagship V30 smartphone at IFA 2017 in Berlin, as it had promised. It has a 6-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and has a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.6 aperture, Crystal Clear lens, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Hybrid Auto Focus that combines both Laser Detection Auto Focus and Phase Detection Auto Focus along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens.

Last year’s LG V20 was the first phone to feature 32 bit Quad DAC for audio and the G6 has a similar DAC. Today LG has announced that the V30 will feature 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by ESS Technology’s SABRE ES9218P. The Hi-Fi Quad DAC now gets two new features: digital filters and sound presets. The original Hi-Fi Quad DAC emphasized delivering Hi-Fi sound as close as possible to the original source by minimizing distortion and white noise, Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC offers more customizable options.

LG to recruit 500 domestic consumers to experience V30 before launch

LG is all set to introduce its flagship V30 smartphone on August 31st at the IFA 2017 in Berlin. As usual it has announced that it will recruit 500 people in Korea between August 22 and 28 to offer a pre-launch experience of the V30. Customers who want to participate in the LG V30 Preliminary Experiment Team can head to v30-try.co.kr from tomorrow and fill a simple questionnaire and the name of their SNS account. LG V30 will have F1.6 aperture camera with glass lens in the dual camera, laser AF and OIS

After rumors, LG has confirmed that LG V30 will include an f/1.6 aperture camera and glass lens in the dual camera. It said that it is world’s largest aperture and clearest lens ever to be featured in a smartphone. It will offer 25% more light to the sensor compared to an f/1.8 lens. LG said that glass Crystal Clear Lens will deliver greater light-collecting ability than a plastic lens as well as better color reproduction.
