Meizu has launched its flagship MX5 smartphone in India at its brand launch event, as expected. This is Meizu’s third smartphone to launch in India after the m1 note and the m2 note smartphones. The MX5 was announced in China back in June and packs a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop), 20.7-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, laser auto focus that promises 0.2 seconds focus, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

Meizu has announced that it has partnered with Snapdeal to sell its flagship MX5 smartphone in India. It had partnered with Amazon.in to sell its m1 note and the m2 note smartphones in the country. The MX5 has mBack touch-sensitive home button that offers different functions based on press, similar to the m2 note. It also has a mTouch 2.0 fingerprint sensor on the home button, comes with 4G connectivity with support for LTE bands for India. Chinese smartphone maker Meizu entered India with the launch of m1 note smartphone back in May. It launched the m2 note, its successor at a competitive price tag of Rs. 9999 in the country earlier this month. Today the Chinese company headquartered in Zhuhai, China has announced an event for its official ‘Brand Launch’ in India on August 26th.
