HTC Arrive gets updated to Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango)

HTC Arrive which was launched in March this year, with a sliding qwerty keyboard and a 1GHz processor running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7, has received a Windows Phone 7.5 update which can be seen on Sprint’s site which was just updated.

WhatsApp coming to Windows Phone 7

One of the most popular cross platform messaging services ie WhatsApp is finally making its way over to Windows Phone 7.5 which is also known as Mango. WhatsApp sent across a cryptic message via its official Twitter channel which indicated that it was working on an app for Mango.

HTC coming up with it’s own OS?

HTC has been experimenting with the O.S used in it’s devices from a long time, it was the first company to adopt Android O.S, it also came out with devices running Qualcomm’s BREW  and has been running Windows 6.5 from long back, recently they  have also introduced devices running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7. Now we are hearing that HTC is looking to develop it’s own O.S, is this HTC’s reply to Google buying Motorola  or is HTC worried about future Android upgrades and it’s relation with Google? Reason could also be the recent lawsuit against HTC by Apple on HTC’s  Android devices.

Windows Phone ‘Tango’ to bring the OS to the masses

When Nokia and Microsoft announced their partnership both the companies promised to out WP devices at all price points including the budget segment. If rumors are to be believed , the Tango update will do just that by bringing the same Windoes Phone experience at a lower than ever price point.

This latest comes from Marey Jo Foley who states that the update might mostly or exclusively target the Asian markets. The Tango update is expected to be available sometime early next year.
