Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime and POCO M2 MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Stable Update Rolling Out

Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Update for the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, and Redmi 9 Prime in India. Redmi 9 Prime’s POCO counterpart POCO M2 is also receiving the same update in India. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update also brings November 2021 Android security patch to Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime, and POCO M2. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Smart Balance, and also lets users Uninstall most of the system apps.

MIUI Global Stable ROM testing program announced for POCO X3 Pro, POCO X3, POCO F3, and more globally

POCO got an independent identity last year, but the company still uses Xiaomi’s proprietary Android skin – MIUI for all its devices. Though, POCO, based on community feedback, has added some features on top of MIUI and hence calls it – MIUI for POCO. Xiaomi had announced MIUI 12.5 Global a couple of months back at a mega global event.

MIUI 12.5 global roll out begins Q2 2021 – List of Xiaomi and POCO devices getting it

Xiaomi introduced the MIUI 12.5, the next intermediate MIUI update in China back in December, and today it has confirmed the list of features that are coming as well as the Global roll-out details and list of devices getting it, as expected. Based on MIUI 12, the MIUI 12.5 has  a strong focus on system optimizations. After a complete revamp of the system UI, its CPU usage was reduced by up to 22% while power consumption – by up to 15%, ensuring frictionless performance and graphics, said the company. MIUI 12.5 with faster UI, more super wallpapers, new privacy features and more announced

At the Mi 11 series launch event Xiaomi also introduced the MIUI 12.5, the next update after the MIUI 12 was introduced back in April this year.  MIUI 12.5 is faster and more economical, says Xiaomi. System UI is rewritten, so the memory usage is reduced by 20% and the background memory usage is less by an average of 35%, and the system application power consumption decreased by an average of 25%, adds Xiaomi.
