When all the phones are getting Android 8.0 (Oreo), Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) update for the Moto G4 Play smartphone staring from Brazil. It was launched back in 2016 running Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), but it did not get the Android 7.0 update and is directly being updated to 7.1.1, months after the soak test. Moto G4 Play, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘G series’ in India, as expected. It was announced back in May, has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support, 4G connectivity with VoLTE and has water repellent nano-coating. Motorola has introduced the Moto G4 Play, a budget 4G smartphone, few hours after it introduced the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, similar to the Moto G (3rd Gen), but this has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
