MTS launches festive offers, MBlaze Ultra dongle gets 33% price cut

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under MTS has launched GB Festival for this festive season. Under this offer, postpaid data customers can get new data customers can now buy an MBlaze Ultra WiFi dongle for just Rs. 999 instead of Rs. 1499. This comes with 40GB of data. New prepaid customers need to pay just Rs 1749 instead of Rs. 2299 for MBlaze Ultra Wi-fi dongle along with 10 GB data. MTS has also introduced new monthly usage plans across categories.

MTS launches MTS Movies to offer free movies for its customers

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited that operates under MTS brand has launched MTS Movies in partnership with Shotz7. This lets MTS dongle users and their smartphone customers enjoy more than 800 exclusive short films for free with a new movie releasing every Friday. It initially offers Hindi and English movies, but plans to bring Tamil, Kannada, Bangla and Gujarati as well in future. MTS India receives its 3rd carrier in the 800 MHz spectrum from DoT

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that nationally operates its telecom services under the MTS brand has announced that ihas received its 3rd carrier in the 800 Mhz spectrum band from the Department of Telecom (DoT). This would let them launch its next generation, REV B Phase II telecom services says the company. MTS India is the first operator in the country to get a unified telecom license

The Cabinet has approved the New Telecom Policy 2012 back in May 2012 which was the main reason for the introduction of free roaming across the country at a nominal cost and the upcoming Full Mobile Number Portability (MNP). It also stressed on single license across India under a new unified licence regime that prevents a separate license for the operators. Now MTS India, which operates under Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL) has announced that they have received its Unified Telecom License. MTS launched the world’s first CDMA EV-DO Rev.B Phase II network in India back in September 2011 starting from Jaipur. At that time MTS had also launched MBlaze Ultra dongle that offers internet speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps. MTS launches mPOS card payment acceptance service


MTS has launched a new service called MTS mPOS (Mobile as Point of Sale) that offers acceptance of card-based payments through mobile phones and tablets. This service reduces the high hardware costs of a conventional POS terminal and the monthly maintenance charges and would be useful for useful for retailers, home-delivery based service models like e-commerce players, food chains etc. PayMate launched similar service and the app called PayPOS last month. MTS launches new MBlaze plans, revises existing plans in Kolkata and West Bengal

MTS has reduced their existing tariff plans and has also introduced new plans for MBlaze customers in Kolkata and West Bengal circle. The new Rs. 45, Rs. 105, Rs. 490 would offer 150 MB, 300 MB and 3 GB of free data. The Rs. 45 plan comes with 7 days validity and the other plans come with 30 days validity. They have also introduced Rs. 698 plan with 4 GB of free data with 60 days validity. Other select plans would offer 3 times more data (Eg: Rs 198 that offered 200 MB free data would now offer 750 MB free data with 30 days validity. MTS launches MTag 401 Android smartphone with bundled offers for Rs. 8999

MTS has launched MTS MTag 401, their new Android phone with new bundled data and on-net calls. It has 4.0-inch (800×480 pixels) capacitive touch-display with a resolution of 233 PPI and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). MTS has expanded its MBlaze, high-speed data service to 9 more towns in West Bengal. The MTS MBlaze service is now available in Coochbehar, Chittaranjan, Andal, Bagdogra, Mayapur Rupnarayanpur, Kajora, Niamatpur & Tindharia in West Bengal. With this roll out, MTS extends its current MBlaze footprint to 27 towns across West Bengal Circle.
