New Moto G gets a new software update, makes Google Now Launcher default

Motorola launched the new Moto G (2nd Gen) in India earlier this month running on the latest Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Motorola has pushed out a minor software update for the smartphone in several countries, including India. According to the official changelog, the update replaces the default launcher with the Google Now launcher and also includes some bug fixes. According to XDA users, the update also changes the Powered by Android Bootimage with a new design and the has some improvements in the auto brightness.  Continue reading “New Moto G gets a new software update, makes Google Now Launcher default”

Motorola Mobility has announced the new Moto G, successor of last year’s Moto G. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and run on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with 720p HD video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual front-facing speakers.
