HMD Global launched the Nokia 7.1, a mid-range smartphone in India last week. We already brought you the first impressions of the smartphone, here we have the unboxing.
HMD Global has started sending out invites for the launch of a new smartphone in India on December 10th in Delhi. Based on the ‘Expect more’ teasers, the company is expected to launch the Nokia 8.1 at the event. It was supposed to happen on December 6th, now the event has been postponed to 10th.
HMD Global just launched the Nokia 7.1, the company’s latest mid-range Android One smartphone in India. It was introduced last month and packs a 5.84-inch Full HD+ 19:9 screen with a notch, 80% screen-to-body ratio, has support for HDR and also supports SD to HDR real-time conversion. With HDR10 support; 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video.The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight. The company calls it PureDisplay. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo), and recently got Android 9.0 (Pie) update. Slotting in between the Nokia 7 Plus and the 6 series, the all new Nokia 7.1 is an interesting device that is bringing the best of Nokia’s design chops to the mid range segment. A device that is predominantly designed to make inroads in the European markets, it plays it safe but makes the right additions to make it all the more appealing. After the Nokia 7.1 Plus (TA-1131) got certified by TENAA last week, now the live images and specifications of the Nokia 7.1 (TA-1100) has surfaced. This reveals a 5.84 FHD+ display with a notch and Snapdragon 636 SoC, similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus, and the cameras with feature ZEISS optics with support for HDR videos. Images reveal a glass back, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a metal frame.
HMD Global has scheduled an event in London on October 4th where the company is expected to launch a brand new smartphone which is rumored to be the successor of the Nokia 7; the Nokia 7.1/ 7.1 Plus.
