Photosynth arrives for Windows Phone 8 with a lens app

Photosynth, the 360 degree(horizontal and vertical) photo stitching panorama app that has been there on Windows Phone for quite a while, has finally received an update for Windows Phone 8, with a nice lens app as an addition. Microsoft has been pushing the Photosynth service for a long time with its nice photo stitching capabilities, that are very similar to what you can find in the Android 4.2 camera’s photo sphere application. The Windows Phone 7 version has been there for the Mango devices and above since May 2012 and it is about time that it has been updated for Windows Phone 8, that too with a lens app for the camera.

Nokia Lumia 610 UK release date announced

Nokia has confirmed the release date and network pricing of their new budget Lumia 610 in the UK. At a press event in London Trafalgar Hotel yesterday, the beleaguered Finnish mobile company annonced that the Windows Phone-powered phone will go on sale in the first week of June. Nokia Lumia 610 now in stock at UK retailers

The low-cost Windows Phone from Nokia the Lumia 610 which was announced at MWC 2012 is now in-stock at select retailers in the UK and priced very competitively. The affordable Windows Phone is available from 145.99 GBP excluding VAT ( Rs.12620 approx / 230 USD ) only in Black colour at the moment and the Cyan version is expected to be in stock in a few days. Nokia Lumia 610 to ship with WiFi hotspot functionality

The most affordable Windows Phone from Nokia will ship with the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality on-board.  The other Windows Phones from Nokia such as the Lumia 710 and 800 do not have this functionality at this time and are expected to arrive as a software update at a later date. The product page for The Lumia 610 lists Internet sharing as one of the features.

Nokia Lumia 710 unboxing

The Nokia Lumia 710, announced at last year’s Nokia World, is Nokia’s second Windows Phone device. The Mango-powered smartphone will be making its way across stores worldwide.

The Lumia 710 is Nokia’s attempt at making Windows Phone cheaper and accessible to the market. While the Lumia 710 can be considered an ‘entry level’ Windows Phone, the specs says otherwise.
