At the Nokia X launch in March, Nokia promised to launch both the Nokia XL and X+ within 60 days. Today, Microsoft devices (previously Nokia) has launched both these smartphones in India. These were was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 at Barcelona in February. The Nokia X+ runs on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and looks similar to the Nokia X, but this packs 768MB of RAM, instead of 512 MB on the Nokia X. Nokia X Unboxing in India
Nokia X is the first smartphone from the Espoo company running Android, and more importantly, Android apps. It was launched in India just a day back for a price of Rs. 8,599/-. “X” is symbolic in many ways. the company is now at the cross roads of a transition from being an independent company to being owned by Microsoft, the maker of software running on Nokia’s current smartphones. X is also the bridge between Nokia’s struggling smartphone business and its traditional feature phone business. Nokia knew, that without apps, its revived Asha platform phones are getting nowhere, and they also knew that it will never create this familiarity factor with Windows Phone, a crucial factor for any company that has a wide array of devices. Nokia X Android smartphone launching in India on March 10th
Nokia unveiled the Nokia X, the company’s first smartphone built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) at the MWC 2014, few weeks back. Nokia has just sent us an invite for the Nokia X India launch. Even though the invite doesn’t mention anything clearly, the “Xperience a new beginning” in the invite and the green color, clearly states that it would obviously launch the Nokia X at the event.
