Oculus today has announced its new headset; the Oculus Quest which is its first all-in-one VR gaming system. It offers six degrees of freedom and Touch controllers. The company has lined up around 50 titles for launch including games like Robo Recall, The Climb, and Moss. It also unveiled the Oculus Insight that powers inside-out tracking, Guardian, and Touch controller tracking. Samsung and Oculus announce new Gear VR, available in November for $99

Samsung and Oculus has unveiled new version of Gear VR headset. Aimed at consumers, the new Gear VR is compatible with whole 2015 line of Samsung Smartphones including the Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+.

Facebook’s Oculus acquires Gesture Recognition firm Pebbles Interfaces

Facebook owned Oculus has scooped up gesture recognition firm Pebbles Interfaces. The financial terms of the deal are not disclosed but as per the Wall Street Journal, the deal is said to be about $60 million.

Oculus Rift to Ship in Q1 2016, pre-orders begin later this year

Oculus has just announced that the Rift will be shipping to consumers globally in the first quarter of 2016. They have also teased the product in two renders of the front and back of the device and it looks quite good.

Oculus VR mobile SDK available for developers

Oculus Rift has released the mobile software development kit (SDK) for Samsung’s Gear VR Innovation headset. The Gear VR is powered by the Oculus Mobile software and therefore comes with an official Mobile Software Development Kit that will encourage developers to prepare some apps for the new platform.
