IRCTC partners with Ola to let users book cab directly from its platform

IRCTC and Ola have signed an LOI (Letter of Intent) that will enable commuters to book an Ola on IRCTC platforms. IRCTC has now integrated the Ola booking API onto its platforms; both website and IRCTC mobile app. The service has already started which makes Ola the first mobility platform in the country to partner with the IRCTC to provide first and last-mile connectivity to commuters. Ola raises $2 billion from SoftBank, Tencent and other investors

Ola has received a fresh round of funding from SoftBank, Tencent and other investors, according to a latest report from Bloomberg. The funding is also backed by venture capital fund jointly run by Indian industrialist Ratan Tata, the University of California’s investment arm and U.S. institutional investors. Ola employee arrested for stealing Aadhaar KYC data

Abhinav Srivastav, an IIT-Kharagpur graduate, has been arrested by the Bengaluru city police on the charge of stealing Aadhaar data. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has registered a case against the 31-year old Ola employee who is also the founder of Qarth Technologies that was acquired by Ola.

China’s Tencent might pump $400 million in Ola
