OnePlus 6 and 6T OxygenOS beta update brings FPS option to Screen Recorder, stability improvements and more

OnePlus has released OxygenOS open beta update 13 for the OnePlus 6T and beta 21 for the OnePlus 6 that brings several improvements, including FPS option (15, 24 or 30 fps) to Screen Recorder that was introduced with a beta update last month. The update also improves weather app and phone app optimizations. The company is yet to roll out DC Dimming feature for the OnePlus 6 series that was promised last month. OnePlus to launch first 5G phone in 2019, commits to carrier relationships

OnePlus CEO and founder Pete Lau at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai this week, confirmed that company is working with US carriers and that it aims to launch a 5G smartphone next year. This new 5G smartphone could be OnePlus 7/7T. Furthermore, the company’s relationship with Qualcomm is allowing OnePlus to become one of the first 5G mobile phone makers. OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.7 update with bootloader bypass vulnerability fix released; 5.1.6 roll out paused in India due to stability issues, 5.1.8 with fixes coming

OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 with several new features including portrait mode support for the front camera, battery percentage in the status bar, Idea VoLTE support in India Dual-4G network option and more a few days back. OnePlus 6 sales cross 1 million in 22 days globally, becomes the fastest selling OnePlus device

OnePlus today announced that OnePlus 6, the company’s flagship smartphone has crossed 1 million sales globally within 22 days of launch. The OnePlus 6 has also become OnePlus’ fastest selling smartphone, since the first OnePlus One smartphone was launched back in 2013. OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T each sold a million units within three months of their launch.
