OnePlus 8 Pro’s color filter camera will be disabled temporarily via software update over privacy concerns

Recently, many users and tech reviewers alike claimed OnePlus 8 Pro can see through some object (plastics and some cloth materials) via its Color Filter camera sensor. OnePlus 8 Pro OxygenOS 10.5.8 update brings display, camera, network optimizations, April security patch

OnePlus 8 Series sale date revealed in India

UPDATE: The OnePlus 8 5G will be available on Amazon India in a special sale, starting at 2pm on 18 May 2020.

A few weeks back, OnePlus launched the much-awaited OnePlus 8 series – OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in the Indian market starting at Rs. 41,999 and Rs. 54,999 respectively. OnePlus 8 Pro with 6.78-inch Quad HD+ 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display, Snapdragon 865, quad rear cameras announced

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 8 Pro, the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the successor of last year’s OnePlus 7T Pro in an online launch event, as it had promised. It has a 6.78-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED edge-to-edge display, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 16-megapixel in-screen camera with Sony IMX471 sensor. It has dedicated MEMC chip that transforms standard videos at 24fps up to 120 fps. The company says that it is ideal for watching sports and action-packed content since MEMC reduces motion blur, stuttering, and ghosting for unmatched clarity.  It has HDR 10+ support, tuned color accuracy rating of JNCD around 0.4. OnePlus 8 Pro: Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage confirmed, 24fps to 120fps with MEMC chip teased

OnePlus already confirmed the OnePlus 8 series will be introduced in an online event on April 14th. After confirming Quad HD+ HDR 120 Hz Fluid Display with MEMC chip back in January, and 5G support recently, the company has now confirmed Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with LPDDR5 and UFS 3.0 for the OnePlus 8 Pro. Update: March 29, 2020 -More camera specs of the OnePlus 8 Pro have surfaced revealing 48MP IMX689 main camera, 48MP IMX586 120° ultra-wide camera, 8MP Telephoto camera with 3x Optical and 30x Digital Zoom and a 5MP depth sensor. It is said to feature improved OIS and EIS, New Night Portrait Mode, ‘3-HDR’ Video and Cinematic Effects.
