OnePlus, earlier this week, rolled out OxygenOS 12 update, based on Android 12, for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in India and North America. OxygenOS 12 brings with it several new features such as Reworked Icons, Adjustable Dark Mode, Improved Shelf, Work-Life Balance 2.0, Improved Shelf, Canvas AOD improvements, and more. However, it looks like OnePlus rushed to roll out the update as soon after updating the devices, OnePlus and OnePlus 9 Pro users started complaining of bugs.

OnePlus just launched the OnePlus 9 Pro, the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the successor to OnePlus 9 Pro in an online event, as it had promised. It has a 6.7-inch Quad HD Fluid E4 AMOLED LTPO display with Smart 120 Hz feature, which automatically matches the refresh rate to
the current user scenario – from as low as 1 Hz (viewing photos or reading text), to 24 Hz (watching movies) even as high as 120 Hz (scrolling) and has 360Hz touch sampling rating. Ahead of the launch on March 23rd, OnePlus today confirmed that the OnePlus 9 Pro will support Warp Charge 50 Wireless, which is the company’s first 50W wireless charging technology. It introduced wireless charging tech in the OnePlus 8 Pro with Warp Charge 30 that took 30 minutes to charge the phone’s 4510mAh battery from 0 to 50%. The OnePlus 9 Pro’s 50W wireless charger will take 43 minutes to charge the phone from 1% to 100%. In China OnePlus has confirmed that it will come with the same 4510mAh battery as the 8 Pro. Earlier this week OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series smartphones will be introduced on March 23rd. Now the press images of both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro have surfaced. This shows the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 6.7-inch Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) 120Hz curved screen. The phone will use 48MP Sony IMX789 main and a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide cameras. It also has laser autofocus and two additional cameras, which is said to be 8MP 3.3x telephoto camera with OV08a10 sensor and a 2MP GC02m1b for depth / macro. It is said to retain the 16MP IMX471 front camera from the predecessor. After teasers, OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of OnePlus 9 Series 5G smartphones globally on March 23rd. It has also announced a three-year partnership with legendary camera manufacturer Hasselblad to co-develop the next generation of smartphone camera systems for future OnePlus flagship devices starting with the OnePlus 9 Series. After the CAD renders that surfaced last year, live images of the upcoming OnePlus 9 Pro has surfaced, thanks to the YouTuber Dave2D who got hold of the images. It should be the prototype of the OnePlus 9 Pro, but it is not clear if this will be the final version. This shows Hasselblad branding in the quad camera module for the first time in a smartphone. We had already seen Hasselblad partnering with Motorola for the Hasselblad TrueZoom Moto Camera Mod. Earlier rumours said that OnePlus was in talks with Zeiss. After the OnePlus 9, CAD-based renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro, the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone which is still in the prototype stage has surfaced online. This reveals a 6.7-inch curved screen with a punch-hole in the top left corner. It will likely be a Quad HD+ AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner, but it is not clear if the company will move from 120Hz to 144Hz refresh rate screen.
