LG today launched its next generation flagship smartphone, the Optimus G at an event in Seoul. The Android 4.0 powered smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Fusion 3 chip which includes a 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC ie the APQ8064 and includes 2 GB of RAM alongside. A 4.7″ 1280×768 True HD IPS Plus display dominated the front with a ppi of 320.

LG India today confirmed to FoneArena at the LG Bloggers Meet today that the Optimus Vu is indeed coming to India later this year. The Optimus Vu is a 5-inch phone from LG which puts it in the same league as the Samsung Galaxy Note. The screen is one of the main highlights of the device and it packs a 1024x768px resolution. The phone packs 32GB of inbuilt storage and utilizes a microSIM card slot. It also comes with a capacitive stylus.

LG Mobile is being quite aggressive this year when it comes to launching attractive Android smartphones running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. LG Mobile has announced three international models running on ICS apart from a few Gingerbread running devices at MWC 2012. LG announced the Optimus LTE in Korea last month which boasts of a 720p HD IPS Display and at that point LG did not plan to release the device in other markets. Looks like that has changed as LG launched the Optimus LTE in Canada earlier this month and now AT&T has announced that it is going to launch the the LG Nitro HD which seems like the carrier’s variant of the Optimus LTE. The device packs a True HD AH-IPS (High Definition Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) 4.5 inch display with 329 pixels per inch. More details about the display technology here . We recently saw Samsung announce the Galaxy Note smartphone. It seems that LG is also ready to introduce a phone named Note. The phone in the picture above is the Optimus Note.
An LG spokesman announced that LG has done very well globally as well as in Korea. The LG has managed to sell over 120,000 units of the Optimus 3D since its launch last month on the SK Telecom network.
