Google launched the original Pixel in October 2016 and it discontinued the sales exactly 1 and half years later in April 2018. In the same lines, Pixel 2 series were launched in October 2017, and Google is now officially stopping the sales of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Last year Google unveiled its Pixel smartphones on October 4th. This year it will unveil the second-generation Pixel phones powered by Snapdragon 836 on October 5th, according to @evleaks. Live images and earlier leaks of the phones already confirmed no 3.5mm headphone jack, front-facing stereo speakers, always-on display, squeezable frame, fingerprint sensor on the back and single rear camera for the phones.
Google’s next generation Pixel 2 smartphone has been certified by the FCC that confirms HTC as the manufacturer of the phone. A latest report from XDA Developers has revealed detailed specifications of the upcoming smartphones from Google code-named as “Walleye” and “Taimen”. A recent report said that Google is testing several versions of Pixel 2 smartphones, including a Pixel version codenamed Pixel 2B aimed at emerging markets. However Google’s SVP for hardware Rick Osterloh in a meeting at the MWC 2017 said that the Pixel 2 will be released this year, and will stay premium.
