Cyanogen has released the Cyanogen Camera app in the Play Store. However, its available only for devices running CM11S, which means that it is an exclusive to the OnePlus One.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition officially taken down from Play Store

Google is continuing to remove old Google Play Edition devices from the Play Store. Last month, it took down devices like Sony Xperia Z Ultra, LG G Pad 8.3 and HTC One (M7) from the Play Store. Today, Google has announced that it has dropped Samsung Galaxy S4 from the list as well.

Google Play Store for Android updated with Material Design UI

Google has started rolling out Material Design UI to Play Store. The version 4.9.13. of the Google Play Store on Android now gets Material Design inspired overhaul which gives app, game, and other listings a revamp. The update comes a week after screenshots of the Play Store redesign were leaked.

Google to stop touting games with in-app purchases as ‘free’

Google will stop labelling games with in app purchases as free. The move comes from the company after pressure from the EU. Starting in late September, games will no longer be termed as free if they include in-app purchases and that it will also require payment verification before each purchase.

Play Store update groups permissions, no longer requires user interaction for additions

The latest update of the Android Play Store brought with it some sweeping changes on the permissions side of things that managed to slide under the radar for the most part. App permissions will now be grouped into permissions groups which makes it relatively easier for users to see what kind of information and capabilities an app can access your device. So far so good? An unfortunate caveat of this change is that with an application update, new permissions from a group can be requested without requiring approval from users. Google adds new “People” section in Play Store, shows you what others are downloading

Google has just added another feature to its Play Store. This time, it doesn’t have anything to do with the apps or the way your apps update. But, it brings a little social interest to your Play Store. You now get a “People” tab in the side navigation bar and when you choose it, you get a list of what other people are downloading.

LG rubbishes Nexus 4 supply issues and new Nexus device

Just some time back Google was talking about the supply of the Nexus 4 from LG scarce and erratic. The devices went out of sale from the Play store real quick and haven’t found its way back since then.
