As promised, Meizu brought its m3 note to India this week. The smartphone was first announced in China last month and is already available there. It will be available exclusively from Amazon.in through flash sale starting from May 31st at 2PM for Rs. 9,999.

The QiKU Q Terra is quite a unique phone when it comes to the kind of features and specifications it packs. We decided to do our first teardown on the device to see what really makes it tick and have a first hand experience at the internals. We decided to share the details of the part with you for your viewing pleasure.
Work long enough in the industry and you learn to take every new technical jargon with a heaping spoon full of salt. So when QiKu, the scrappy new upstart, briefed us about its new duoscopic camera, we were quick to believe this similar to other manufacturer’s offering and perhaps even a gimmick. Spending some more time with the device though, we noticed that this was quite not the case. While we explored the camera briefly in our review, we really wanted to stress the dual camera feature on the phone to see if it actually delivers on its promise. So what did we do? We put the camera through a test, a 3000km+ journey across India to test and see if the QiKu Q Terra’s camera can perform uniformly well across large and varied landscapes, lighting conditions. Qualcomm has signed a new 3G and 4G Chinese Patent License Agreement with QiKu, Haier and Tianyu. Qiku is a joint venture between Qihu and Coolpad while Haier is a Chinese home appliances and consumer electronics company.

That said, it is also the domestic competition in China that is making technology companies rise up and is pushing them to explore alternate ecosystems as well.
