Lenovo introduced PHAB 2 Pro, the world’s first tango-enabled smartphone for consumers powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC at the Tech World 2016 earlier this month. LeTV announced Le Max Pro which is the world’s first smartphone running latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, at CES 2016. A new leak from a Chinese website Mobile Dad has revealed a price for the phone that is expected to launch this year.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 14nm SoC with 64-bit Kryo CPU and Adreno 530 GPU launched
Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 820 at the MWC earlier this year. At that time it confirmed that it will use custom 64-bit CPU architecture in their own ARMv8-based Qualcomm Kryo CPU and also said that it will be based on FinFET process node. Later it confirmed Adreno 530 GPU for the chip and also said that it will offer 40% graphics performance, compute capabilities, and power usage compared to Adreno 430. It recently confirmed X12 LTE modem and Snapdragon Smart protect – Real-time, on-device anti-malware technology for the SoC. Today the company detailed the chip at an event in New York City. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 to feature new X12 LTE modem supporting 600Mbps download speeds
Qualcomm has announced the upcoming X12 LTE modem that will be part of the new Snapdragon 820 processor. Devices based on the newly announced Snapdragon 820 processor are expected to be part of flagship smartphones shipping in first half of 2016. The company made this and a number of other important announcements at the ongoing Qualcomm 3G / LTE summit here in Hong Kong.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 to support Smart Protect – Real-time, on-device anti-malware technology
Qualcomm Technologies just announced Snapdragon Smart Protect, anti-malware technology that will be supported by upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Smart Protect will provide real-time, on-device detection of unknown (zero-day) malware threats. It uses advanced machine learning-based behavioral analysis to look at actual behavior of device applications in real time and almost instantly detect and classify any application behavior that is considered suspicious or anomalous, said the company.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Zeroth Platform announced
Qualcomm has announced its new Zeroth Platform at the MWC 2015. It is optimized for premium mobile devices based on Snapdragon 820 processor. It uses custom 64-bit CPU architecture in their own ARMv8-based Qualcomm Kryo CPU. It will be based on FinFET process node, but currently it is not clear if it will be based on 16nm or 14nm process.
