Update: January 7, 2021: realme has now announced realme UI 2.0 Open Beta program for realme Narzo 20 users in India. Users can head over to Settings > Software Update > Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner > Trial Version > Submit your details > Apply Now. As soon as the application procedure is completed, users will receive Android 11 based realme UI 2.0 update on their device.

realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 unveiled, open beta update from October

At the realme narzo 20 series launch event realme also unveiled its realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11. This brings option to change notification bar colours, shortcut buttons, settings for interface icons, and other 23 interfaces. It also offers enhance social media experiences including subtitle stitching, Dual mode music, Deepsea Privacy Plan and Security Shield. Android 11 based realme UI 2.0 – New Features and First look on realme X50 Pro

Google, earlier this week, started Android 11 Stable roll-out for Pixel devices in most regions. While Google Pixel users in India are yet to receive Android 11 on their device, realme rolled out the latest version of Android to 100 realme X50 Pro users in the country as a part of Android 11 preview release program. With Android 11, realme is has also introduced the latest iteration of it’s Android skin realme UI. realme has already started realme UI 2.0 development, confirms CMO

realme started off as an oppo sub-brand and soon after became an independent brand, but realme kept using oppo’s version of Android – ColorOS. The company later decided to introduce their own UI and finally announced Android 10 based realme UI 1.0 back in December 2019. realme UI brings an array of new features such as dual earphone connection, animated wallpapers, screen-off display, customizable icon shape, new charging animation, realme Share (cross-brand file-sharing technology) and more.
