I can’t help but think Realme is preparing its boundaries to justify their future flagship killer with excellent build quality on a beautiful looking XT. Initially I felt bad for quick successive phones being launched in a short span of time but when the Realme X came out, it showed that a full display design language can be brought down to mid-range without many compromises. But for those who are not in favour of moving parts, like me, the XT takes it down a notch as a decent compromise. Now after using the phone for the past 21 days, the Realme XT has impressed me in many ways and in the meantime it also has a few areas of concern. realme launched the most expected realme XT smartphone in India last week starting at Rs. 15,999. As it had announced at the launch, 64,000 units went on sale on Flipkart and realme.com at 12 noon today. realme has confirmed that it sold out in 4 minutes. Next sale will happen only on September 30th, during the Flipkart’s Big Billion days sale. It will likely stock more units since users will have to wait for two more weeks to get the phone. It offered 6 months free replacement for today’s sale.

The phone packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 712 with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 and is the first phone in India with 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. Realme has finally confirmed that it will launch the realme XT smartphone in India on September 13th on Flipkart. The company also confirmed that it will feature Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It will be the first phone in India with 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. It has a 8MP 118° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture are same. The phone also has AI scene recognition, Chrome boost, Super nightscape and Expert mode. There is also EIS support for video.
Realme didn’t hold any separate event to introduce the realme XT, which was supposed to go official in India by the end of September, but the company set out units to test it out before the launch. We got hold of one, and here is out unboxing (in Tamil) and first impressions.

Realme at the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro launch event today confirmed that it will launch the realme XT, the company’s first 64-megapixel quad camera phone in September, after confirming earlier this month that it will launch before Diwali. Earlier rumors said that it will be called realme X Pro.
