Xiaomi launched the Redmi 8 smartphone in India running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Xiaomi announced MIUI 11 Global along with Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro in India last month, and also shared the 4-phased rollout schedule for various devices. The company has already rolled out MIUI 11 Global Stable for the first phase of devices including Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, POCO F1, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi 7, Redmi Y3 and MIUI 11 Global Stable Beta testing for the second phase of devices is ongoing.
