Xiaomi launched the Redmi 8A smartphone in India running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro back in October in India. The company claims to have rolled out MIUI 11 Global Stable update for as many as 27 devices in just 47 days in a 4-staged rollout schedule.
