RCom starts rolling out 4G services for CDMA customers

Reliance Communications (Rcom) has started rolling out its 4G services in Mumbai, Delhi, Maharasthra and Andhra Pradesh circles for the CDMA customers who had upgraded to 4G, reports ET. Reliance to test voice services on 4G networks

Coming from an Economic Times article, it looks like Reliance Industries limited (RIL) is all set to get approval from the telecom department (DoT) for testing voice services on its yet-to-be-launched 4G networks. This comes as a surprise as Airtel has been the only 4G player as of now, with limited network distribution.

Reliance to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with HFCL

 

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) plans to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL) according to Economic Times. Reliance Industries bought 95% stake in Infotel Broadband in June 2010 which is is the only firm to win broadband spectrum in all 22 circles in India.
