Samsung Galaxy Nexus will NOT receive Android 4.4 KitKat – Google

So, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will not receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update if Google’s own FAQs are to be believed. The second Samsung-made Nexus device was actually the first device that came packaged with Play services and hence a subsidized price. The prices of the Galaxy Nexus got even lower just before the Nexus 4 was announced and hence managed to ramp up adoption in the mean while. It is safe to assume that this Nexus device is popular, but the cold hard truth is Google doesn’t update its Nexus device beyond the 18 month period. The Nexus S was the first victim, which also faced several hardware constraints, but this is the first time there are no hardware constraints but the update cycle will just not help the good old Galaxy Nexus out.

Ascend D quad is powered by Huawei’s own K3V2 quadcore processor

I had thought of many unexpected things to be revealed at the MWC, but I never thought that Huawei will be bringing a super phone (Ascend D quad) running on a quadcore processor manufactured by themselves. Wow, and they are calling this process the fastest processor up to date and it might be true.

White Galaxy Nexus hitting Verizon Wireless?

Everything looks more sexy and beautiful in white color, same thing is with smartphones. I personally believe that the iPhone looks sexier in white color, well, so does the Galaxy Nexus. Earlier this month, Samsung officially announced the white Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Now words are on the street that Verizon Wireless will launch the white Galaxy Nexus in USA, however they are already offering the original Galaxy Nexus with LTE capability, but there’s a little issue with the white version. Samsung confirms White Galaxy Nexus, coming to UK on February 13

Samsung has officially announced the White version of the Galaxy Nexus. Some online retailers in UK started taking pre-orders for the device early last month. This would come with same features of the black version such as 4.65-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1.2GHz dual core processor, NFC, 1GB RAM and HSPA+ connectivity. Samsung Galaxy Nexus 32GB now available for pre-order in UK, Shipping in February

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 32GB is now available for pre-order in UK from Clove. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Nexus in October but only 16GB version were available. UK Retailer Clove released the price for the Galaxy Nexus 16GB version but there was no sign of 32GB version. They also announced the White Galaxy Nexus last week that would be shipping early February. Now they have announced that the 32GB version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is available for pre-order. Samsung Galaxy Nexus SIM-Free delayed in the UK

Many online retailers in the UK have who were initially all set to ship the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Nov 17 which is the official launch date for the device in the UK have now post-poned the shipping date. Clove has pushed the shipping date to Nov 23 and Expansys has pushed the date to Dec 1st. Operator 3 UK has warned customers who pre-ordered the device yesterday that their phone won’t be delivered until Nov 22 due to stock delays.
