Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in India. Samsung announced the list of devices that would receive the Android 4.0 update last December and started rolling out ICS update for Galaxy S2 in Europe earlier this March. Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100) is now shipping with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) in India. One of our readers in India got a new Galaxy S2 and found that it ran Android 4.0.3 out of the box. Samsung Israel has confirmed on their Facebook page that the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update would be available on March 15th. This update would be available for unlocked and carrier-branded handsets in Israel. Samsung confirmed the ICS update for Galaxy S2 last November. They announced last December that the Galaxy devices would receive the Android 4.0 update in Q1 2012. Samsung UK has confirmed the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S2 on their tweet. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of the best selling phones for Samsung with 10 million this September since its launch 6 month ago. The Samsung Galaxy S2 came with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box. Samsung Italy listed their eligible devices for the Android 4.0 update recently.
