Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy S3 get price cut, now available for Rs. 22080 and Rs. 24900

Samsung has cut the price of the Galaxy S4 mini and the Galaxy S3 in India. The Galaxy S3 got a price cut in India back in February. It was launched in India in May 2012 at a MRP of Rs. 43,180. It is now available for Rs. 24,900 after the recent price cut. No sign of price cut for the 32GB version of the Galaxy S3 yet. This is the first price cut for the Galaxy S4 mini since its launch earlier this July for Rs. 27990. The Galaxy S4 mini is now available for Rs. 22,080 after the price cut. Samsung boasts the world’s first TDD-FDD LTE seamless handover technology with new Galaxy S4 and S4 mini devices

Samsung has just announced that it has the world’s first commercially available devices(new Galaxy S4s and S4 minis) that can seamlessly do handover between two different LTE networks(based on TDD and FDD). This news comes at a time when most companies and their multimode LTE chipsets are gearing up for LTE Advanced support. Qualcomm had announced last year that they will bringing a truly global LTE chipset with support for both TDD and FDD LTE variants, with the MDM9x25 series of modems, but Samsung seems to have one-upped them, not for a dual mode TDD-FDD LTE chipset, but for this “seamless handover” technology.

It has a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean with Samsung’s own Nature UX. Samsung has launched Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9192) along with the Galaxy S4 Zoom at an event in Mumbai. It has a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean with Samsung’s own Nature UX. It packs a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. It is 8.97mm thick and weighs just 107 grams. It comes with Dual SIM support with dual standby. Last year Samsung started a new trend by announcing a mini version of their Galaxy S III flagship and shortly after the launch of this year’s Galaxy S4 flagship, they continued the trend by announcing the Galaxy S4 Mini. As the name suggests, the handset is a smaller version of the flagship but although it’s smaller and comes with a smaller price tag, it still packs a punch and will appeal to many users who found the original Galaxy S4 too big.

It packs a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera. It has 1.5GB of RAM and packs a 1900 mAh battery. It comes with 4G LTE, or 3G HSPA+ (GT-I9190) or 3G Dual SIM (GT-I9192) depending on the market. Samsung would unveil the Galaxy S4 mini at the Samsung Premier 2013 scheduled for June 20th, according to a recent report from The Wall Street Journal. This coincides with the rumors that surfaced back in March. The Galaxy S4 mini was confirmed from the official App Store listing recently. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 last week. Now images of the Galaxy S4 mini has surfaced online. Ermek has leaked the pictures of the Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9190) on Twitter. According to SamMobile, the S4 mini would feature a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display with 256ppi pixel density. It would come with a 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with Touchwiz Nature UX 2.0.
