Samsung Electronics started mass producing 8 gigabit (Gb) LPDDR4 mobile DRAM based 20-nanometer (nm) process technology at the end of 2014. Samsung unveils the first LPDDR4 RAM for mobile devices
Samsung Electronics has announced they have developed the industry’s first 8 gigabit (Gb) or 1 Gigabyte (1GB) LPDDR4 DRAM for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This will provide the highest level of density, performance and energy efficiency for mobile memory applications, enabling end users to have faster, more responsive applications, more advanced features, and higher resolution displays while maximizing battery life, said Samsung.
