The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has asked the service providers not to provide SIM cards with a validity of more than 3 months to the tourists from other countries visiting India. They have also asked the operators to provide SIM cards only with a passport with a valid Visa, and the validity of these SIM cards should not be beyond the validity of the visa.
