IDC reports 0.8% YoY growth in global smartphone shipments in Q3 2019, Samsung leads

International Data Corporation (IDC) has reported a growth of 0.8% Year on Year for smartphone shipments in its Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. Total shipments counted to 358.3 million smartphones that resulted in an 8.1% growth compared to the last quarter, marking positive growth in smartphone shipments after almost 2 years.

Worldwide smartphone shipments will grow to 1.52 billion in 2017: IDC

Worldwide smartphone shipments are expected to rebound slightly in 2017 with expected growth of 3.0% over the previous year, according to a new forecast from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. With several major devices entering the market this year, IDC anticipates shipment volumes will grow to 1.52 billion in 2017.
