Qualcomm announces new Snapdragon 200 dual-core and quad-core chips


Qualcomm has expanded the Snapdragon 200 line-up with new set of SoCs (System On Chip) with the new Adreno 302 GPU. Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 200 chip at the CES 2013 back in January and detailed the features of the 8225Q and 8625Q it in February. The new 8×10 and 8×12 processors have ARM Cortex A7 CPUs, based on 28nm process technology and has support for HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps) and TD-SCDMA. The 8610 and 8210 would have dual-core CPUs and the 8612 and 8212 would come with quad-core CPUs, all clocked at 1.2 GHz per core and Adreno 302 GPU. Qualcomm would also release Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) versions of the processors.
