Sony just scheduled its Xperia product launch event on May 11th in which the company is expected to launch the new Xperia 1 V flagship smartphone. Sony already confirmed that it will launch new Xperia phones powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform in 2023, so we can expect the chip in the flagship.
