Sony Xperia C was announced a long time back, but Sony has launched the product only very recently. Sony Xperia C is at the higher end of the mid-range segment with a quad-core processor from MediaTek and a 5inch display resembling the many soldiers of the droid army in the Indian Android phablet category. It comes with dual-SIM connectivity and a 8MP Sony Exmor R sensor with LED flash.

Sony Xperia C Photo Gallery

Sony announced the mid-range phablet – Sony Xperia C back in July, but the device has been available only since a couple of weeks. Like most of the mid-range budget phablets, the Sony Xperia C is powered by a quad-core processor from MediaTek. It also comes with a 5inch qHD display, a 8MP Sony Exmor R sensor camera at the back. The build quality of the Sony Xperia C is what separates it from the other budget phablets.

Sony Xperia C Benchmarks

Sony launched the Xperia C earlier this month. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week, here we have the benchmarks of the device. It has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. This is the first phone from Sony to feature a MediaTek chip. Let’s find out how this compete with other devices in range of synthetic benchmark tests.

Sony Xperia C Unboxing

The Sony Xperia C was launched way back in June, with aspirations of reaching the mid range with a similar design language and decent internals. It was one of the first phones from Sony to sport a MediaTek MTK6589 processor, which was a marked change from their earlier associations with ST-Ericsson, but perhaps for the better? Sony Xperia C went on sale in India online earlier this month, now Sony has officially launched the smartphone in India. It was announced back in June and packs a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor R sensor, 1080p video recording and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a LED notification light below the display and has dual SIM support with dual standby. It is 8.88mm thick and weighs 153 grams. Sony Xperia C is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic. It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor R sensor and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It is capable of recording 1080p HD videos.
