Sony Xperia S, SL and acro S get a new update with performance and stability improvements

Sony Mobile has announced that they have started rolling out a new software update (v6.2.B.1.96) for the Sony Xperia S, SL and acro S that brings lot of performance and stability tweaks / improvements. Sony says that they have received lot of feed back regarding issues in the recent Android 4.1 build that started rolling out back in May. Sony announced the list of high-end devices that would get the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update and promised that they would roll out the updates faster. Sony Xperia SL Unboxing

Sony Xperia SL went on sale in India back in September, but Sony launched it officially few weeks back. Here we have the unboxing of the Sony Xperia SL. It looks similar to the Sony Xperia S that we reviewed earlier this year, including a 4.3 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12MP camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 processor with Adreno 220 GPU and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.

Sony Xperia SL now available in India for Rs. 30999


Sony Xperia SL is now available from online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam in India. It appeared on Sony Website last month and looks similar to the Sony Xperia S but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box. Sony Xperia SL with 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 official

Sony Xperia SL has made an early appearance on the Sony website. It was supposed to be announced at IFA 2012 next week. It looks similar to the Xperia S that we reviewed in April, but pack in a faster 1.7 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.
