After making its presence felt at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas this year, the Sony Xperia ZL, a full HD smartphone from Sony landed in various countries alongside its thinner brother, the Xperia Z. Running on Android 4.1.2 at launch, the device had a custom Xperia UI on top like usual, and now news comes our way that the Android 4.2.2 update for the Xperia ZL has started to roll out, starting today.

Sony Xperia ZL launched in India

Sony has launched the Xperia ZL along with the Xperia Z in India. It was announced at the CES 2013 earlier this year.The Xperia ZL is slightly thicker than the Xperia Z at 9.8 mm, weighs 151 grams. Other features are similar to the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 at 443 ppi, 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia ZL hands-on Photo Gallery

Sony unveiled the Xperia ZL at CES 2013 earlier this week. We got some hands-on time with the device at the Sony booth at CES. The Xperia ZL is packs almost similar features as the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU. Sony Xperia ZL with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor announced

Sony has announced Xperia ZL at CES 2013. This is a variant of the Xperia Z for select markets, and packs in similar features as the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU and a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and video. It is not water or dust resistant like the Xperia Z and doesn’t have a glass back, but comes with a glowing LED indicator below the display. It comes with PlayStation Mobile support.
