Apple is expected to announce the iPad Air at an event on October 16. The Miachel Report is claiming that they have acquired “pictures and illustrations” of the iPad Air 2 from “sources within Apple”.

It looks like Motorola Shamu or the Nexus 6 is inching closer to its official announcement. The phone has been leaked a number of times over the past months and today some of the specs are confirmed, claims a latest report from Android Police.
Microsoft has announced its refresh of the Surface devices today, with the new Surface 2, the Surface Pro 2 and a whole lot of updated accessories. The Surface 2 is the updated version of Surface RT, running on the much criticized Windows RT platform. Last year, it was meant as one of the first entries into the ARM territory for Microsoft, and this year, without much change in the strategy, Microsoft has done a Spec bump to the older version. The new Surface 2 runs on a Tegra 4 Quad Core processor, a full HD Clear Type 1080p screen, a two-step kickstand for better usage on the lap and even a second colour option in Silver. They also claim that it is thinner and lighter than the original Surface.
We just saw Nokia tease the Lumia 625 yesterday. While we were pretty sure it was the Lumia 625 that is going to be announced today, some others thought it might be a tablet, but as a tradition these days, the full specifications and colourful press images of the Lumia 625 have leaked out on to the internet, just ahead of launch, confirming our suspicions about the device. The usual Data Sheet that is given to journalists with the press kit has leaked out from Finland’s own Puhelinvertailu and it tells us a lot more than what we already know. Samsung just sent a chill down our spine by launching the Samsung Galaxy Note- an Android Phone with a 5.3 inch display ! If you thought the Galaxy S2 had a big display ? Get ready for a bigger display. I’m not sure how many of us can grip a 5.3 inch phone in one hand ! The specs seem pretty impressive with a 1.4 GHz Dual Core Processor , 5.3 inch HD SuperAMOLED Plus display (1280×960 pixels resolution) and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. There is a 8MP camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front. It weighs 100grams and is 12.3mm thick. In many of my posts about the Nokia E7, ever since I received my trial unit, I kept saying that “I don’t get it”. I don’t understand the purpose of the E7 or who will buy it or for what reason. The rationale behind my thought was that in terms of Symbian competition, the Nokia N8 offers a much more complete package, while in terms of QWERTY/Business competition, there are plenty of better options with Android on board.
However, saying something is not like proving it in an objective comparison of specs, so given that I have an N8, E7 and HTC Desire Z in my hands, I set out to take some pictures of all of them for you, and to do a specifications comparison table.
