Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Photos NEW Design !

Samsung has managed to change the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 after MWC. Looks like the company was not happy to release a tablet thicker than the Apple iPad 2 to the market. So what did they do ? They felt that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was inadequate to take on the iPad 2 and they did not stop there. They went and redesigned the whole thing so that it is only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 595g. The earlier model was 10.9mm thick and weighed 599 g. Did Samsung just surprise Apple  ? Samsung to Announce 8.9″ Tablet Next Month

At the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Fira, Barcelona last week, Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1. They justified the naming scheme by stating that they are planning to release tablets of different sizes in order to meet the needs of different consumers.

Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Tab2 confirmed for MWC2011

Samsung’s Unpacked event is all set to happen on 13 Feb in Barcelona during MWC 2011. FoneArena got an invite to the event couple of days back similar to the Sony Ericsson and LG invites. It never talked about the devices which Samsung will launch.Now there is confirmation via a leaked MWC show plan that Samsung is indeed launching the Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Tab 2 at the event !

Samsung announces Wi-Fi Only Galaxy Tab for USA

Samsung has confirmed the existence of the WiFi only Galaxy Tab today at CES . This version of the Galaxy Tab will go sale this quarter in USA and will be available without a contract as it lacks 3G connectivity . Specs wise it looks identical to the Galaxy Tab 3G Version except the 3G part. No pricing or exact launch date has been announced but it should be competing with the Apple iPad base model. Samsung Galaxy Tab Live Pics

We were at the Samsung Galaxy Tab India launch event earlier today and had a chance to play with the device for a little while . Hardware wise the Galaxy Tab seems pretty impressive. No rough edges or creaky sounds. In short solid piece of hardware. The size of the Galaxy Tab makes it very portable. No it still wont fit it in trouser pocket, may be a coat pocket. The screen is pretty responsive and Android 2.2 FroYo is pretty fast.The only bad thing about the device is it’s Price – Rs.38000

Galaxy Tab to cost Rs.38000 in India ?

Samsung India is launching the Galaxy Tab in India today and has not revealed the price of the device so far . Now a landing page on the Samsung India’s website takes us to online retailer LetsBuy who’s quoting a price of Rs.38000/- for the Galaxy Tab.
