Nvidia had their GPU Technology conference in San Jose, California yesterday, in which they unveiled their new product roadmap for PCs as well as their Tegra chips, their mobile SoC solutions. The Tegra roadmap after Tegra 4i will be succeeded by Logan, and Parker will succeed Logan, slated for 2014 and 2015 commercial availability respectively.
If these leaked images are to be believed, HTC might be getting back in to the tablet space. The company which has held off from the tablet scene since their Flyer tablet seems to be opting for a One X inspired design.

nVIDIA were the first to introduce a quadcore processor to the consumers with the ASUS Transformer Prime, and now it has become first to introduce them on smartphones too. At MWC 2012 which is going on right now, there are many devices which are being powered by nVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Quadcore processor including HTC’s One X, LG Optimus 4X HD, ZTE Era, K-Touch Treasure v8 and Fujitsu’s smartphone.

People have been talking about nVIDIA and Tegra 3 from the beginning of this year, last year they were the first chip manufacturers to bring out dual core chips and now this year they are again the first ones to bring out Quadcores. Though the vision and the chipset architecture is really great there have been some problems in nVIDIA’s camp and we have come to know that there is a shortage and it will affect nVIDA in a big way.
Lenovo introduced one of the most well built and feature packed Android tablets last year based on the Honeycomb operating system. Since then Google has rolled out Android 4.0 ie Ice Cream Sandwich which brings several tablet specific enhancements like native support for stylus input which already comes with the Thinkpad tablet.

We’ve seen couple of NVIDIA powered Smartphones at CES this year but this news of a 3D version of the Tegra 2. Their dual-core Tegra 2 3D processors is said to power more smartphones that is going to launch later this year. So this is just not a single core processor technology, but this is an evolution which will change the way we use our smartphones. We might see devices with this processor by spring. A Samsung representative confirmed that Samsung is working on a phone equipped with NVIDIA’s Tegra Processor. Last month, NVIDIA said that a phone equipped with the Tegra processor would be released on AT&T ir T-Mobile costing around 199$. So now it’s almost sure that the phone will be a Samsung.
