And it’s worth it for its mere 3.8 HD screen. Wow, and it’s got awesome Multimedia capabilities as well.
LG Electronics launched the VIEWTY in October 2007 in the overseas market ,NAM was omitted as it depends on different sales bracket and technology. After its release quite some 14 months, LG have achieved the cumulative sales of 5,000,000 (350,000 domestic and overseas 4650000) Viewty handsets which is something to reckon with. Though it is not quite some feat compared to what a normal handset from Espoo does but for LG this is indeed something great and a memorable occassion. Its a true winner of a handset .

The N97 was announced only a while ago, but hands-on photos and videos have started to surface around the internet. The Nokia N97 will be available in two colors, white and black, but the white one is the one that’s getting all the attention. The N95 is becoming a bit too classic and too old, so Nokia needed to release an ultimate flagship handset, again to fill in the N95’s shoes. And here it is, just announced at Nokia World in Barcelona, the new Nokia N97!
The N97 features a slide-out tilt screen Qwerty design, and runs on the new Symbian S60 5th edition: it is the 2nd S60 handset to sport a touchscreen after the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which has just started shipping. The touchscreen is a widescreen 3.5inch display with 16 million colors and a 16:9 640×360 pixels resolution. The interface is very similar to the 5800 XpressMusic, except that the N97 offers a customizable standby screen where you can add widgets (somehow similar to the Today Screen on Windows Mobile) like email, calendar, music player, application shortcuts, social networks, weather. You can also organize these and create your own if you feel like it.

Call it a gigantic leak if you want, we’re calling it an early Christmas gift. The candy shop is open: Nokia’s internal roadmap has just been revealed by anonymous tipster to Engadget Mobile. What is an internal roadmap? Well it’s the products under development by Nokia, even before they become prototypes available for testing. Yeah, THAT early. But it’s our chance to delve through the numbers and the incomplete specs, and see what our beloved Finnish manufacturer will be up to.
It’s not one, but 13 Smartphone models under development that we’re looking at here, with tons of exciting handsets that we sure hope will see the actual light of day.
The first ever touchscreen Blackberry handset, Storm, has been confirmed after Vodafone offered the device as a competition prize on its website.
It is not known exactly when the device will be available yet, but the fact that Vodafone is already pushing it suggests it could hit stores in time for the Christmas market. Hewlett-Packard, aiming to grow its device business beyond corporate users, is preparing to release a new smart phone targetted at consumers, reports WSJ.
The new device will have a touchscreen, slide out QWERTY keypad and will use Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. It will be able to send and receive emails, and access the Internet.
